Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 12 August 2026

These terms govern your use of SaleOn POS. By activating a licence and using the software, you agree to them.

The software is provided by SaleOn POS ("we", "us"), Pakistan. "You" means the business that licenses it.

1. What you are getting

A licence to run SaleOn POS in your shop for as long as your subscription is paid. You are not buying the software itself and do not own a copy of it.

2. Your licence, and the machine it runs on

A licence is issued to your business and bound to the computer it is activated on. Moving it to a different machine, or a different shop, needs our involvement — the software will refuse a licence it does not recognise.

You may not copy the software, share your licence key with another business, resell it, or attempt to work around the licence check.

3. Subscription, payment, and what happens if it lapses

The licence runs for the period you have paid for. If it is not renewed the software does not stop dead:

Your data is never deleted because you stopped paying. On a Local shop it is on your own computer throughout and remains yours. Locking the software does not touch it.

We may suspend an account for non-payment or for a breach of these terms. We will tell you first, except where the breach requires immediate action.

4. Your data belongs to you

Everything you put into SaleOn POS — products, prices, sales, customers, staff records and figures — is yours. We claim no ownership and use it only to run and support the software. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what we hold and when.

5. What you are responsible for

6. Backups

Cloud Backup is an optional paid add-on. When switched on, your computer encrypts a copy of its database and sends it to us, and we keep the two most recent copies.

A backup service is not a guarantee against loss. It is a second line of defence, not the first. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose, particularly records you must retain by law. If you have not bought Cloud Backup we hold no copy of your data and cannot recover it under any circumstances.

Restoring a backup replaces your current database entirely; anything recorded since that copy was taken will be gone. We will not perform a restore without a clear instruction from you.

7. Support, and the limits on it

Support is provided by chat inside the software, by email and by phone during our working hours.

Our staff can propose a correction to your settings or records. On a Local shop we cannot apply it ourselves: the change is shown at your till and written only if someone there approves it. Selling, the cash drawer and shifts can never be changed by support at all. On a Cloud shop, changes we make on your instruction take effect directly.

We will not ask you for your password. Do not send passwords or card details in a support message.

8. Payments taken in your shop

SaleOn POS records how a customer paid — cash, card, bank transfer, credit (udhaar) or a split. It does not process payments and contains no payment gateway. Card payments happen on your own machine under your own arrangement with your bank or processor. We are not a party to them and have no responsibility for them.

9. Availability

A Local installation keeps working without internet, including selling — sales made offline are held on the device and sync when the connection returns. Licence renewal, Cloud Backup and support do need a connection. A Cloud installation needs a working connection to be used at all.

We aim to keep our services available but do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, provider outages and events outside our control can interrupt it.

10. Warranties

We provide the software with reasonable skill and care, and will put right faults that are our responsibility. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, the software is provided as it is: we do not warrant it will be free of every error, nor that it will suit a particular purpose you have in mind without telling us about it first.

11. Limits on what we are liable for

To the extent the law allows:

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

12. Ending the agreement

You may stop using the software at any time. Fees already paid are not refundable for the remainder of a period unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

We may end the agreement if you breach these terms and do not put it right after we have asked you to.

13. Changes

We improve the software continually and features may change. We will not remove something you depend on without telling you.

If we change these terms we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be told to you directly, and continuing to use the software after that means you accept them.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and disputes are subject to the courts of Pakistan.

We would much rather sort a problem out by talking to you first — please contact us before doing anything else.
